I found a new quick project that will be perfect for gifts for people. It is the Cable Braided Necklace from OlgaJazzy. Manda found the pattern and asked for one so I knocked one out yesterday/today to see how they work. I used some leftover sock yarn to make this one.
I love how versatile this is. It can be a headband (this one is too long for that) a bracelet or a necklace worn with the button in the front or the back. I can see myself making a ton of these to give out.
This is my attempt at a blog. I've been journaling for many, many years (nearly 9 years to be exact) on livejournal. But that's a personal life blog that nobody cares to read but my most devoted (or bored) friends.
This blog will be about my knitting. And my crocheting. I am by no means some sort of yarn maven or guru. This is more for documentation. I want to keep track of my journey from novice (omgwtf you want me to do WHAT with that cable needle?) to the aforementioned guru (or at least pretty decent). I will post pictures of my accomplishments and failures and ask (probably beg and plead) for help and possibly be able to offer my own tips and tricks eventually.
For the basics, I'm 25, I live in Southwest VA and I spend pretty much most of my free time obsessing over knitting. And hanging out with my fantabulous boyfriend, Kevin (he's crafty in his own way, he makes his own beer). We have 3 cats and travel pretty much any chance we get.
yay! looks like i picked a winner - now make one in every color ;)
